The Retreat has 218 members in 6 filings covering about 1,000 acres. The Board of Directors of the Retreat Landowners Association (RLA) is comprised of seven members who are elected at the annual meeting in July.
Current assessments are: $300 per landowner, plus a special assessment of $100 annually to the Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Dept.
For the 2019-2020 Fiscal year only, the membership voted at the annual meeting and approved a one-time assessment of $100 per lot to help install a water reservoir on Copper Hill Road to aid in fire mitigation. For more information on the project, read about it here.

The Slash Pile is NOT a Trash Pile. It is not to be used for yard waste, pine needles, disposing of sofa cushions, metal objects, etc! The purpose is to aid the residents for mitigation. When the slash pile is large enough, we hire someone to chip and haul off the former slash. Smaller metal objects break the blade on the chipper and the residents must pick up this cost.
